Right Wind Cone Garage Door Spring

Standard garage door systems have the right hand wound red winding cone on the end and will be mounted w the red winding cone pointing towards the left.

Next pull down on the winding cone with a winding bar. The left spring is right hand wound rhw and the right spring is left hand wound lhw. Continue reinserting the bar and pulling down on the winding cone until the cone is all the way at the end of the spring. To the right of the drum is the right wind torsion spring.
