Power Door Lock Module Jetta

If you remove the carrier panel and door lock module from the door you ll see the following.

2008 jetta 2 5 yes i know this is a common issue i just couldn t find anything similar. The power windows sunroof door locks do not work. If you use the key in the door handle it locks all 4 doors but immediately unlocks them. The door lock module is attached to the inside of the carrier panel and is also secured to the edge of the door by the two 8mm triple square bolts in the picture above.

The actual door control module is built into the power window motor in each door. The door lock module is indicated by the red arrow. Unable to lock or unlock trunk. The part number to rule this out horn going off does sound like a door latch module that is causing your problems.

As you can see from the scan the rear left passenger door module has no communication. The trunk release switch in the door panel does not work. I have also repaired broken wires within the door boot i think. The remote does not work to lock or unlock the doors.

Go into your jetta and play around with the power lock switches. It may mean the wrong door lock module was installed like from a gti or beetle instead of a front door latch from a jetta. If the power window motor looses power all door functions will go dead. The ccm is wired directly to the window motor control module and this unit is responsible for driving all functions of the door.

I have replaced the door module i did it about a month ago along with the right side module.
